Akie "Omizo" Varonick, 89 passed away quietly on February 6, 2022 at the Lifecare Center Altamonte Springs. She was born on February 15, 1932, in Miyazaki, Japan, the daughter of Zenkichi and Fujimoto Omizo. She was married to her first husband Parmenio Iglesias from 1959 to 1977 (divorced) and to her second husband George Varonick from 1980 to 1984. She previously worked in electronics assembly and retail sales. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and visiting with her friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, brothers and sisters, she was predeceased by her first husband Parmenio Iglesias and second husband, George Varonick. She is survived by Miguel Iglesias her son and his wife Diana, of Orlando, Julio Iglesias her son and his wife Raquel of Phoenix, five grandchildren, Michael Iglesias, Brandon Iglesias, Connor Iglesias, Tira Iglesias and Nathanael Maldonado and several nieces and nephews. An informal viewing will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Baldwin Fairchild, 1413 S. Semoran Blvd. Orlando. She will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetary, Bushnell, FL.
