Ann Dailey

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Ann Dailey, 91, who passed peacefully on August 12 2025 in Orlando Florida. Ann was born in California Missouri on June 11 1934. On the date of her passing she has eternally joined her husband of 55 years, James Edward Dailey on his birthday.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Shumard of Decatur Il and son Chris Dailey of Orlando Fl. She had 4 grand children Michael, Cassandra, Jeffery, and Brian, 2 step grand children Jason and Keela, 2 great grandchildren Aurora and Gunner. She was preceded in death by her younger brother Norris Pace (Sue) of Buffalo NY.

As a young woman Ann was active at Stephen Decatur High and maintained several life long friendships. After graduating she began her career with Richardson & Karlowski and became the office manger of the local CPA firm. She was an active member of the Decatur Secretaries Club, Mt Zion Library and Decatur Garden Club.

Ann greatly loved her family and enjoyed her friends, many of whom became a second family. Ann was outgoing and loved to converse over current events and her favorite topic -US history. She had a fulfilling life of love, friendship and travel.

Ann will be laid to rest along side her husband James at Mt Zion cemetery at a later date.
