

Dempsey, Anna “Ann” 79, beloved wife of the late Norman Edward Dempsey, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2014 in Orlando, FL. That day would have been Ann’s and Ed’s 42nd wedding anniversary. Anna was born September 12, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Elmer and Anna (Popp) Bauers. She was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving during the Korean War. Ann retired as Vice president for Sun Trust where she worked for over 35 years in the Orlando area. She was a loving and caring mother who always made certain her children had great birthdays, holidays, and vacations. As her children grew older, Ann continued to be supportive of them in all of the endeavors, trials, and tribulations they experienced in their lives. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Jack Cassidy of Poinciana, FL. Her daughter Rose Marie Aldred (Robert Varnes) of Winter Garden, FL; son, Angelo Lombardo of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Katie and Kristie Colpo, Victoria and Andrew Aldred, Frankie Colpo (Shirley) and Ashleigh Witt and one great grandson. A gathering for family and friends will be held, Sunday, May 4th from 4 – 7 pm at the Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, May 5th at 12 Noon at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, a reception to follow after services. Anna will be interred next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to Bishop Grady’s Villas.
