Annette Claire Gutweniger, 78, of Orlando, passed away on Friday, August 5th. Her family was by her side at her daughter’s home when she entered in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was born to Arthur and Carletta Remillard in Chicago, IL on November 5th, 1937. She married Lester Gutweniger on October 15, 1960. Lester and Annette followed her parents to Florida in 1966 shortly after their first son, Paul, was born. Within the next two years she would have two more children; John and Anne Marie. Annette enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Another great love of hers was genealogy. She spent countless hours researching her family’s history. Her greatest talent and one that brought her and her family much enjoyment was playing the piano. She also played the organ and the accordion. Annette would sit at the piano and play song after song. She played by ear so no sheet music was necessary. She spent most of her career as a Teacher’s Assistant in Orlando-area schools for almost 25 years. She got her start in this field at St. John Vianney School while her children attended school there. She loved working with children and made a difference in each of their lives. Annette attended church at St John Vianney for over 50 years. Her strong Catholic faith kept her involved in many activities throughout the years on the church/school grounds. She showed love, respect and compassion every day of her life.
