Betty Harris was my mother. I had lost contact with her and the rest of the family . She had a long life.

I just found out today thru an old friend that ms betty harris passed away last week. I am so sorry to hear that and definetely would have come to the funeral service if I had known. I have known her since I was a kid. My dad knew her son When they were younger, and got in trouble with the law for taking her car, which got him sent to the marines instead of jail time.  When I was a teenager living in the neighborhood I would go hang out and talk with her, and she would offer me money to help do yard work. Our family didn't have much money so it helped alot that she let me work for her...she even took me to lunch sometimes! She was a sweet lady and always listened when I needed an ear...she was really funny too! I know she has her angel wings now and im glad I got to know her. Sending my condolences to you and your family

Angie, Linda, and family...I am so sorry for your loss.  Your mom was a good neighbor.  She would always tell me the story about how my mom would bring me over when I was a baby and they would drink coffee and talk.  I have never seen anyone so full of energy and work so hard as she did.  Very rarely did I not see her in the yard.  She will be missed.  Please accept my sincerest sympathies.
