
(Retired) Major David Louis Horsman, 84, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, in Orlando, FL. He was born September 26, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY; son of the late Louis and Molly (Watt) Horsman, the brother of the late Jane (Horsman) Kowal, and survived by his brother Dr. Paul Horsman and brother-in-law of the late Agnes (Weale) Horsman. He is a decorated Vietnam War veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force for 20 years retiring to Orlando in 1973. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star. After retiring from the Air Force, he began his second career as a letter carrier at the U.S. Postal Service, retiring from there after 20 years. Mr. Horsman is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Juanita; three children: Karen (B.L) Franklin, Kathleen Horsman, and Thomas Horsman; three grandchildren: Elliot (Jessica) Franklin, Michael Franklin, and Allison Franklin and one great granddaughter, Evelyn Franklin. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Michael Kowal of Port Jervis, NY, Burial will be at the Bural Valley Cemetery Cuddebackville, Town of Deerpark, New York; date to be determined.
