Mrs. Josephine M. Yoakum

YOAKUM, JOSEPHINE MELDA PADGETT, 82 of Orlando passed away February 13, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born in Glennville, Ga. but grew up working on a family farm in Bay Lake FL. She met her husband to be when he was stationed in Orlando as a young Military Police in the U.S. Air Force. They enjoyed traveling the world and learning about different cultures. But, they chose to retired in Orlando Florida. Mrs. Josephine Yoakum loved to volunteer and serve as a member of the United Methodist Women’s Circle and the Central Florida Homemakers Extension. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Cline Yoakum, Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law Charlotte (Nan) and Greg Froemming; her son and daughter-in law Steve and Debbie Yoakum; her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and David Hildebrandt, her three grandchildren Rebecca A. Yoakum, Benjamin A. Yoakum and Jordan R. Hullett and her nieces Dianne Brasswell and Connie Reeves and many grand nieces and nephews. The family will receive guests between 6pm to 8pm on Sunday February 17th at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando. FL 32806. 407-898-2561. The funeral service will be held at 11am, Monday February 18th at her beloved Conway United Methodist Church located at 3401 S. Conway Road, Orl, FL 32812 to be followed immediately by interment at Conway United Methodist Church with a reception at the Church to celebrate her life.
