Kathryn "Kitty" Freeman Goodman passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus early Saturday morning, June 5, 2010. Kitty was a very strong Christian, having been raised Southern Baptist. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for years and was very active in other activities at Walnut Street Baptist Church and later joined Conway First Baptist Church. Kitty had a full and active life. She raised three loving and devoted daughters, Diana, Elaine and Terry. She cherished her girls and was always there for them. Always showing her love and deep affection for each. Her hugs and kisses just melted your heart. Kitty had been a professional model with "Patricia Stevens", where she also became an instructor. Later she joined "Models Guild", where she also instructed. Later she pursued cosmetology and was a rep for several different lines such as Estee Lauder, Clinique and others. After retirement, Kitty delved into arts and crafts. She was very creative and gardening where anything she planted grew (she talked to her plants). She loved her kitties, "Little Bit" and "Baba" and doted on them also. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her girls and always looked forward to weekends outings together. She loved to eat out. She also cherished her beloved grandsons, Chuck and Chris, who loved her dearly. Mama Kitty loved her boys and was very proud of them. She also had a dear little great granddaughter, Levi. Kitty was born to Bud and Velma Tolbert April 2, 1930 in Gastonia, NC. She married a young Air Force Sergeant, James Freeman in 1947. James and Kitty moved around the country and even out of the country, Clark Field, Philippines. Finally settling down in Orlando, Florida. James passed away in 1974. They were divorced, but still loved each other. She later married Don Goodman, but they parted ways after a short time. Kitty loved her parents Bud and Velma; brothers, Harold and Bill. She enjoyed vacations and being reunited with everybody. She was very close also to her sister-in-laws, Dorothy and Marguerite, whom she considered sisters. Her nieces and nephews were also fond rememberences, Carol Long, Randall Tolbert, Bill Tolbert and Michael Tolbert, who went to be with the Lord a few years ago. She had also been close to her brother-in-laws and their wives. Loved James' mother, Ollie Miller. She is predeceased by James Freeman, her mother and father, Velma and Bud Tolbert; her brother, Harold Tolbert; nephew, Michael Tolbert; Terry's husband, Larry Fore, her favorite son-in-law. Kitty is survived by her three loving daughters, Diana Freeman, Yvonne Elaine Coffey and Theresa Fore; her loving grandsons, Chuck Fore and Christopher Fore; her great granddaughter, Levi; her younger brother, Bill (Marguerite) Tolbert; nephew, Bill Tolbert, Jr.; her dear friend and sister-in-law, Dorothy Barrick; nephew, Randall Tolbert and niece, Carol Long; brother-in-laws, Everett (Berlina) Eulis, Leonard (Betty) Freeman and several nieces and nephews. Kitty had many good friends over the years, most of whom have passed. She was fun loving, witty, big hearted and a joy to be around. She was also very compassionate, empathetic and loved the Lord. She was a gentle Southern Lady in every sense. Our hearts are breaking right now, but we know that Mom is with the Lord now in no pain, suffering and full of His love and peace. She will always live in our hearts and memories and we know we will join her someday in His glory. Mother, we love you with all our hearts! The family of Kitty wishes to give our sincerest appreciation for all of the prayers and kindness extended to us in this difficult time of mourning. We couldn't have made this journey without the Lord and all of your prayers and support. Please keep my mother and us in your prayers. God Bless and keep you all.
