

“Peggy” was born in Mitchell, South Dakota to Virginia Mary Entsminger and Richard Franklin Kelly, and had 3 sisters; Mickey, Barbara and Debra. She grew up in Chamberlain, South Dakota. As a child, she loved horseback riding and continued this hobby into her adulthood. Having grown up near the Sioux Indian Reservation, she had a fondness for the Native American Indian culture. She attended Mercer University as an Art major.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband – William “Frank” Crider, her parents, and 2 of her 3 sisters, Barbara and Debra Kelly. She is survived by daughters – Kelly Jane Crider Mendenhall and Megan Frankie Crider Lessne; son-in-laws - Charles Ray Mendenhall and Dana Alan Lessne; grandchildren – Kaegan Rae Mendenhall (28), Chance William Mendenhall (24), Mason Charles Mendenhall (18), Wilson Cole Lessne (11), Carlin Cru Lessne (11), Franklin Keane Lessne (7); great grandchildren – Emmy Lou Grace Mendenhall (8) and her sister May Kay “Mickey” Bumbaugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 11th at The Crider Residence. Gathering any time after 4:00pm, outdoor service at 5:00pm, followed by food and fellowship. Bright colored clothing appreciated. Any memorials would be appreciated by donating to the Native American Heritage Association.
