

Mrs. Margaret E. Patrick, 85, of Orlando (formerly of Ocala), passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Born March 9, 1927 in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry Erickson and the late Helen Fitzgerald Erickson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wendel Patrick, whom she married on September 25, 1948; her sister, Helen Ganswindt; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Ganswindt and Charles Patrick.
Margaret had been employed with the New York Telephone Company, the Middle Country School District, and retired as an account clerk with the Internal Revenue Service where she served as the Blood Drive Captain for the IRS. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Carol Patrick of Feeding Hills, MA and Paul and Kimberly Patrick of Orlando, FL; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Thomas Morgenstern of Tamarac, FL, Margaret (Peggy) and Michael Wilson of Lake Grove, NY, and Eileen and Glenn Wilson of Holbrook, NY; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, Hunter’s Creek. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice at http://cshospice.org/?giving.html or call 1-888-728-6234.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Tom officiating. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
