Maria de Los Angeles Mayet

On May 12, 1972 Maria started dating Thomas Mayet and they married on September 16, 1976. They had two amazing sons, Michael Thomas and Steven Anthony.

Maria began her professional career at Riverside Travel followed by working as the assistant to the dean at the NYU Dental College. The family moved to Orlando, Florida in 1989 where she work for the Tribune at Orlando Sentinel, Nextel and most recently Metro by T-Mobile.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Eulogio Galvez and nephew Michael Seth. Her lifelong soulmate, best friend and loving husband Thomas (Tommy) Mayet.

Her sons and daughters-in-love Michael Thomas (Yadi) and Steven Anthony (Theresa), her grand babies Morgan Elise, Nathan Thomas and Xavier Demetrious.

In addition to her immediate family, Maria had a large extended family and numerous "adopted" kids and grandkids that will all miss her immensely. She loved her sestra Roxanne and her YaYa sisters as big as the ocean.

Maria touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her selflessness, compassion and genuine care to support anyone who needed it. She lived a life full of love and joy. Maria loved quilting, shopping and music (especially her Freestyle). Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends, losing her will leave us all with a giant void and we will miss her always.
