Micki Arlene Withrow, age 66, of Port Orange, Florida, was born on October 1, 1958. After a courageous short battle with lung cancer, Micki passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Micki graduated from Coldwater High School in the Class of 1976. Her professional career included driving buses for Branch Intermediate School District for 18 years. She then worked for the Indiana Toll Road and Lagrange License Bureau where she retired. Micki had a talent and a love for crocheting. She could sew just about anything.
Family and Friends meant everything to Micki and she was always there for them - day or night. She had a passion for helping others and this gave her much joy. Besides always being there for others, Micki was the life of any party and loved dancing. Even on car rides, she would turn up her favorite songs and start dancing in her seat. She got a kick out of seeing others' reactions as they watched her dance moves. And even though others in the car would beg her to stop, she continued to laugh and come up with even more dance moves. She loved to put a smile on anyone's face! Micki thoroughly enjoyed making costumes for different holiday parties that she attended at the senior park where she lived. If there was a contest, her extravagant costumes always took home a prize. Besides enjoying making others feel special, loved, and making people smile, she also loved fishing, swimming, woodworking, and going to the beach.
Micki was preceded in death by three sisters, her maternal grandparents, Mick and Evelyn Knapp, and her paternal grandparents, Howard and Ester May. She is survived by her long time love, Thomas Withrow; her daughter Beth (Aaron Stephens) Cribbs; her granddaughter, Brooklynn Patton, who was her pride and joy; Parents, Howard (Clara Lee) May; Sister, Marijo (Rick) Bercaw; Brother, Monty May; Niece, Jessica (Michael) Wherrett; Nephews, Josh (Vickie) Bercaw, Drew Bercaw, and Mikell (Candace) May; Great nieces, Abbe Wherrett, Aubrey and Hadley Bercaw and Cheyenne May; Great Nephews, Trenton and Braxton Bercaw and Montgomery May. Micki also leaves memories to cherish with her long-time best friend, Peggy Harvey, her sweet four-legged companion, Snoopy, and many cousins and friends who will all miss her tremendously.
There will be a Celebration of Life to honor her memory at a later date.
