

Pasco (Pat) Campano, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Pat was born in Providence RI on March 10, 1927. He is preceded in death by Mentana Campano, his beloved wife of 75 years. He is survived by his children, Deborah Campano German of Orlando and Lynn Campano Kochanek of Arden, NC; his grandchildren, Laura German Buhain and Dylan John Buhain of Orlando and Julia Lynn German and Colin Baumchen of Nederland, CO; and his great grandchildren, Patrick Buhain of Orlando and Lindsay Lauretti of Rochester, NY.
Pat served in World War II in the 383rd military battalion as an army dispatch sergeant for railroad security in Berlin, Germany and Paris, France. When the war ended, he returned home and took a course in Engineering at Providence Technical Institute. He worked as a manufacturing engineer in metal stampings at Berry Engineering, Anchor Tool and Dye, Cable Electric and A.J. Knott company for his entire career. He secured a patent for a toothpaste expresser which he designed and produced.
Pat met the love of his life, Mentana Centofanti, when she was still in high school. And they were married shortly after she graduated. They resided in Cumberland, RI, Quechee, VT and Naples, FL before finally residing in Lake Nona, FL. They enjoyed camping trips in the summer, playing golf, bowling and travelling. Pat will always remember the hole in one he shot on a par 3 hole at the Woonsocket Country Club in Rhode Island. He enjoyed woodworking, home remodeling, and following his investments in the stock market.
Plans for a celebration of his life will be made in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor his memory can be made to the “Mentana and Pasco Campano Scholarship Fund” at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
