Petra was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She was the cherished mother of Maribel, Angelina, Joan, and Ralph, and lovingly embraced Israel as her own. She was also a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend — and each person who knew her held her in the highest affection.
Before retiring, Petra served many years as a social worker with Children & Family Services in both New Jersey and Florida. Her compassion, commitment, and gentle guidance made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives.
Petra was widely known for her kindness, warmth, and thoughtful spirit. She possessed an extraordinary capacity for love, offering it freely to everyone she met. She found joy and peace in gardening and caring for her beloved chickens, and she never hesitated to extend kindness to the neighborhood stray cats.
Deeply faithful, Petra loved worshipping and praising the Lord with her angelic voice. Her singing brought comfort, hope, and joy to all who heard it.
Petra leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren — Cassie, Edwin Jr., Julian, Jacqueline, Savannah, Maddox, Alize, Armani, Gabriel, Petra, Carson, Israel, Iza-bella, Iverson, Cataleya — and through her great-grandchildren, Thalia, Khaleesi, Anthony, Edwin III, Valentino, Theodore, Luke, Ulysses, Layla, and Raiden.
Petra’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering generosity. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
