One thing that always amazed me about Richard was how knowledgeable he was about the aerospace industry. He always wanted to ask about the latest development in the industry - he knew about any new aircraft rumored to be in development, he was dialed in on technical difficulties of different aircraft in the field, and he was always curious as to what I thought the impact to the company was going to be. I always thought that he actually KNEW more than I did, and he was just out to test me. But, I know in the end, he just really enjoyed "talking shop."
