Roosevelt (Bob) Robinson was born May 24, 1927 to parents Malcolm and Modest Robinson in Leland, Mississippi. He was the oldest of six children, two sisters and three brothers all of whom preceded him in death. At the early age of sixteen, he moved to Chicago, Illinois and resided with relatives. Once there, he continued his education. During this time, he ultimately met and married the love of his life, Rose Marie Crosby. They shared two children, Sheila who lives in Chicago and Anthony who has resided with him the last two years working constantly and tirelessly giving him the opportunity to continue residing in familiar surroundings as his health began to diminish.
From these two children he was blessed with two grand children, Julius and Angela. They in turn each added great grand children: Angela- (Rakim), Julius - (Brandon, Junee, Jevon along with three more from his wife (Nicole) VoNique, Kyera and Trevor and along with great grand children). He also had many nieces and nephews.
While residing in Chicago, he was employed by several large companies, including NCCIJ and Cook County Hospital. He ultimately decided to open his own accounting firm where he worked until relocating to Orlando. While there, he still followed up with some of his long term clients.
For many years he was an active member of St. Joachim Parish in Chicago, until moving to Orlando. Once here, was a member of the Orlando Hosts social organization for numerous years until his diminishing health forced him to resign. He was also an usher at Holy Cross Catholic Church where he served until he was no longer able. He enjoyed working in his yard. He took pride in his flowers, fruit trees, and garden. Decorating the outside of the house during the Christmas season brought him joy. He also loved golf, both as a spectator and participant. After a lengthy battle with health issues, he made his transition on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
There aren't enough words for the family to adequately thank Deacon Tommy, Bill and Brenda, Jerry and Denise and all the wonderful, kind and concerned neighbors and friends who brought food, shared knowledge, prayers and companionship throughout the entire time of his struggle. May God continue to bless and reward you all for your unwavering kindness.
