He was a retired musician with the United States Navy. He loved gardening, watching boxing and wrestling, and enjoying the company of his three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Nena Corpuz Galang and Aurora Bernal Galang.
Santiago is survived by his son Robert Galang; his son Richard Galang (Clarabelle Galang); his son Joseph Galang; and his daughter Maricca Niemiec (Charlie Niemiec); his grandson Colin Niemiec, his grandson Connoir Niemiec and his grandson Jamie Niemiec.
A funeral service for Santiago will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 South Semoran Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32807. A novena prayer and visitation will occur Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Homes, 1413 South Semoran Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32807. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
