Sarah was born on September 12, 1935 in Louisville, GA to Mae and Wiley Davis. Sarah was the oldest child and had two younger brothers, Rusty and Smokey. Sarah married the love of her life James (Jim) W. Davis in 1952. Sarah and Jim enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. Sarah followed Jim where ever his work took him, even all the way to Toledo, Ohio where she endured a week long blizzard with her kids. They made countless lifelong friends at every place they landed. Sarah found her true purpose and joy in raising her three children and being a mother figure to her many nieces and nephews. Her heart walked outside of her body when her three grandchildren were born. Sarah loved her family above all else and was truly the backbone of the entire Davis family.
Sarah had a true heart of gold, always supporting and loving everyone that came into her life. Sarah always saw the good in everyone and was the first one to celebrate the accomplishments of those she loved. She will be forever missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing her. She had many names all with great meaning, Mom, Mema, Aunt Sarah, and friend.
