Alison Louise Mills, 83, grew up in Western Massachusetts and later found a sense of home on Cape Cod. She appreciated her time on the Outer Cape and spent many years living in towns from Provincetown to Brewster.
Inquisitive and intelligent, Alison enjoyed reading and was always collecting books. Wellfleet had her favorite library. She kept and used her Wellfleet library card no matter the town where she was residing. Alison had an impressive memory and was a wealth of information. One could always learn something new, or old, when talking with Alison.
Alison loved animals, especially dogs. This included having pets of her own, playing with friends’ dogs, and saying hello to every dog she encountered as well as sharing pictures and videos of adorable dogs that she discovered on the internet.
Alison, her curious nature, and her concern for fairness and justice will be missed.
Alison appreciated the kind care she received from Hospice Services of Massachusetts. As was her wish, there will not be a public memorial service.
