IN THE CARE OF
Nickerson Funeral Home
Annamarie E. Crocker, 94, of Brewster, Massachusetts died peacefully just after midnight on January 24, 2023 at Cape Cod Hospital. Born in Kearny, New Jersey in 1928, she moved to Brewster with her parents, Alyce and Olle Lund after graduating from high school. She worked at the Cape Cod Five and was active in the Salvation Army and Brewster Baptist Church. In 1949 she married Lawrence F. Crocker and they were together nearly fifty years until his death in 1999. They lived in Brewster, building their own house in 1958 where they raised their three children, Ellen, David and Tamzen. She was a life-long traveler, visiting many US states, Canada and countries in Europe. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her daughter Ellen Crocker, and son David Crocker, his wife Ann Marie, grandchildren Marissa Crocker, Rebecca Carvalho, her husband John, Katrina Crocker, Kyle West, his wife Maria and great granddaughter Mirabel West. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Greta Brier and Naemi Lund, and by her daughter, Tamzen.
She touched the lives of more people than we will ever know. She taught Sunday School at church, participated in the choir and volunteered weekly for decades at Cape Cod Hospital. She was a prodigious blood donor, donating consistently for at least 30 years. She was an avid philanthropist, donating to local and national charities and organizations that benefited children, the military, first responders, the environment, wildlife and more. She will be greatly missed but we know her memory and impact will be with us always.
Burial will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Outreach, the Brewster Memorial Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice. A donation of blood can also be made in her honor.
