Harold N. Ellsworth

Harold N. Ellsworth of Orleans, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026 at the age of 84. “Harry” was born on February 19, 1942, in Kearny, NJ, to Harold and Alberta (Noe) Ellsworth, who later resided in Malden, MA. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved sister, Ruth Ann Sandquist.

Harry was a graduate of the University of Maine, where he developed lifelong friendships and recalled his years there fondly. Following college, he dedicated himself to education, teaching science at Boston Latin School in Boston. He was well liked by his students, many of whom benefited from his enthusiasm, kindness, and genuine interest in their success.

It was during this time that Harry began setting roots on Cape Cod. He built a home in Eastham and for many years divided his time between living in Malden and spending summers in Eastham and Provincetown. His love for the Cape eventually led him to leave teaching and Boston to reside full time in Eastham. He began a second career as a Real Estate Agent, first with Meadow Marsh Realty in Eastham and later with Kinlin Grover in Orleans until he retired at the age of 80.

While living on the Cape, Harry met his life partner, Richard Cucciniello. They shared a devoted life together until Richie’s passing in 2024.

Harry was an active long-time member of the congregation of The Church of St. Mary of the Harbor. He was an usher and participant in the church leadership as well as participating in many church activities.

Known for his mischievous smile, Harry genuinely enjoyed people as much as they enjoyed him. His warmth, humor, and engaging spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He faced life challenges with strength and grace and supported others with encouragement and compassion.

Harry was a loving uncle to Kimberly Brady and Dana Sandquist of Easton, MA. He also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Services will be held on Saturday May 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Mary of the Harbor 517 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA.
