A year has passed since I heard your voice. I miss you more everyday.  You will always be with me in everything I do. We shared so many memories….Walks on the beach, going to Disney, Cruises, teaching me to body board in Hatteras and hand planning in Lauderdale-By—The- Sea, snorkeling, exploring lighthouses up and down the East Coast and Bermuda. We had so much fun doing Triathlons and Biathlons. These are just a few memories I could write a book about  all we shared.  When I see a jetty I think of the mousekin that popped up on our walk out to Long Point on the Cape.  Ben you were the BEST dad to our boys Bishop and Timber the three of you are playing at Rainbow Bridge. My heart is broken and the emptiness I feel words can not describe. You were the one person who made everything right with your words and hugs.  You will always be my one true soulmate and my best friend. I will you love forever. 

Ben when Dawnee called me I was in such shock. I still can't believe to this day this is true. I remember u taking your Toyota FJ into get repaired  and Bruce just shaking his head about the seat belts that your Timmy made a mess of. Also remember well our motorcycle rides to the Seafood fest every August for many years. You definitely loved your seafood and beer what fun we had and don't forget the trays u made for us to use to bring our food back to the table gotta luv it. Well buddy luv u with all my heart and I will never forget the time that we did have together. RIP till we meet again luv u dear. 

Ben was the love of my life and we shared 23 years and many wonderful memories.  He was so good to me and we enjoyed our time together!  He had a great sense of humor and was always making me laugh!  He loved the water and filled much time swimming, rowing, body surfing, etc.  I was blessed to have all the years we had together!  I will hold him in my heart until we meet again. ❤️

Benson was very much our other sibling; one of us.

So many memories from our childhood! From the rope swing that seemed to swing out forever over the grass, to launching coconut shells into the air with firecrackers. (Okay, I still do that…)

One memory that stands out was when we boys decided to go into the woods and explore around. The autumn colors above us glowed in the shadows of the forest as we went further and further in until we came across what looked like a small dirt road or trail. Following that, across a field, we came to a pond in the middle of the trees. On the shore of this pond in the middle of nowhere, was a rowboat.

Boys being boys, it was decided to launch the boat and see if it would float. Of course, the proper way to do this would be to have a couple people on it as a proper control. Two of us boarded the vessel, the others gave it a careful push and away it drifted out into the small pond. Never mind that there were no oars on board.

That brought up the next problem: how to get the boat back to the shore. We were busy trying to work out the solution to that one when there was a whistle and a shout. A very ANGRY shout!

We had spent so much time in the woods, it was late and time to go home. We were so far from the house that we couldn't hear them calling for us. When we didn't respond, our fathers came looking.

And found us at the pond, with part of our team stuck in the middle of the pond on the oarless rowboat.

I think that was the only time I had ever been grounded at somebody ELSE'S house!

Ben still hard to believe you are no longer on this earth. You were one of the best employees anyone could ever ask for.  We still walk around the Wildwood Post Office and find your fruit stickers, gummy bears, random toys glued in random places which always bring a smile and memory of you. Customers still ask for you after all these years. Rest In Peace and feel free to haunt us on occasion. Fly high, my friend, fly high!

Ben, when we met  Dawn and Amilia they always talked about you and what a Wonderful Person you were.  When we finally  met they were right. You have been taken away from us Way to Soon. Rest In Peace My Dear Friend. 🙏💔 😪

Ben, although we only saw each other once a year or so from 2016 when we moved to Florida, I felt close to you right away.  I am deeply saddened. So glad we got to spend extra time going on the cruise. Funny, we had SO much in common. Both “Fishes”, love the ocean, same sense of humor, traveling, our Love for Amilia & Dawn, the kids🐶 & Eating!! Ben,,, LOL we Loved EATING😂. You also had a great big heart. You will be truly missed😪. Enjoy surfing in Heaven. 🙏RIP Ben. Your buddy John❤️

Ben you were so special to me, I don’t know how I will get along without you.  You were always there to cheer me up and make me feel good.  Your adventures were the best.  You are with your mom and Bishop, and Timber.   I will always love you, you were the son I never had.  Forever in my heart, your smile is always with me.

Ben you are and always will be my best friend.  I am lost without you. You were always there for me. We have so many happy memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.  The past 32 years have been the best years because of you. You are forever in my heart and soul.  I will love you forever. You were my angel on earth. RIP Ben 

I remember many trips to the Haase house. Spending most of the day in the pool. Playing with the dog, Cheer. In 1987, I drove from Boston to Cape May, where Benson lived at the time. We see went to Wildwood, and rode the rollercoaster together. My fondest memory of Benson was when he first started school... His teacher asked if he had any brothers or sisters. He listed off Nancy, Judy, Dan, Bill, and Doug
 She told him she knew, from his records he was an only child. Benson insisted he had five brothers and sisters. Our Dads worked together, and we're such close friends, we were ONE big happy family. I'll miss my 'brother. We're both Veterans, so he's my brother in more ways than one .

I am saddened at our loss of Benson. My memories will always be of the laughter we always had when we would get together. Of the times we shared growing up exploring through the woods behind his home. Putting firecrackers under a coconut shell and blasting it into the air. Of a Woolworth “4lane racing set” that we played with for so long, that I begged for one of my own (at 55 I still have it). A silly thing, but I always thought of Benson whenever I played with it. He was an old friend that was more an older brother I looked up to (literally and figuratively), and I will always consider him to be. I will deeply miss you.
