He was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 26, 1953, the son of the late George Millhollan
of New York and the late Pierrette (Millhollan) Vincent of Orleans, Mass.
Henri spent his teen years in East Haven, CT, with his late mother Pierrette and late younger brother Gerard Millhollan. He attended university of New Haven. In 1977 he moved to Manhattan,
New York, to work in a French restaurant where his passion for gourmet food and wine began. In 1978 he moved to East Orleans and fell deeply in love with the beauty and serenity of Cape Cod.
He worked in a few restaurants on the Cape, his favorite been Kadee’s Lobster & Clam Bar in East Orleans. During the years he worked in restaurant business Henri had so much fun… met lots of interesting people and developed solid friendships. His career as a Real Estate Broker on the Cape
began in 1980 and in May, 2006 he started his own business – Realty By The Sea in Orleans, MA. He dedicated 110% of his efforts to provide outstanding service to his clients and the community. He went above and beyond.
In June 1991 Henri met Beatriz of Materlandia, Minas Gerais,Brazil, to whom he married in June 8, 1997. From then on they often traveled to South America, mostly Rio de Janeiro and the Fazenda Padre Nosso where Beatriz grew up. He truly enjoyed every trip. The language was not a barrier because he had a remarkable ability to connect with people. Family was very important to him and he embraced her family as his own. Besides his family and friends, Henri loved his two cats – Figaro and Plato and Mickey Mouse.
He was an avid reader, his favorite author been John Grisham. He enjoyed Brazilian and French
music and food, family and friends gatherings, walks on Nauset beach where his marriage took place, sunsets on Skaket beach, mornings bike rides on Nickerson State Park and much more…
Henri is survived by his wife Beatriz of Brewster; his aunt Janine Banette of Orleans; Janine’s son Philippe Banette and his wife Donna Devaul & daughter Sophie of Ridgefield, Conn.; his late brother Gerry’s wife Mary Millhollan of East Haven, CT, and their five beautiful daughters, Jennifer & her husband Charles Fowler & four children of New Haven, CT Danielle Millhollan, her three children & boyfriend Kenneth of New Haven, CT; Kathleen Millhollan of Guilford, CT; Jeannette Millhollan of Branford, CT; Michelle & her husband Joe Hawes of Wallingford, CT.
Visiting hours will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77
Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans. Burial will follow in the Orleans Cemetery off Tonset Road.
Henri loved flowers or donations may be made in Henri’s name to Joan of Arc Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
