Maureen D. Fagan

Maureen, a dedicated and loving Mom has passed away suddenly on January 8 just two days after celebrating her 80th birthday. Born in Staten Island, NY where she lived with her parents, John and Dorothy Fagan until she relocated to Eastham with her young family. She learned quickly what a wonderful community Eastham was to raise her two children Kristine and Anthony. As time went by and her children had grown, she started a new career as a realtor helping many newcomers to Eastham find their dream homes in Cape Cod. As a successful and well-respected Realtor/ Broker Associate for 30 years she was honored with multiple awards as a professional business women and member of the community. She was loved by so many for her kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and wonderful sense of humor.

In her spare time, she especially liked to garden and created a showplace of flowers and plants around her home. She also enjoyed fishing, something she wished she had more time for. She was a friend to all animals especially her dog and 2 cats that greeted her at the front door when she came home.

Ultimately her favorite time was with her family which she described as her most precious time.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Chiarappo; her daughter, Kristine Chiarappo, her sister, Karen Johnston, her brother-in-law, Radcliffe Johnston, and 3 nieces and 1 nephew whom she loved dearly.

Visiting hours are 2-5, Monday, January 17 at Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans, and a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 18 at St. Joan of Arc RC in Orleans at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Steven Siller Foundations Tunnel to Towers.
