Mrs. Eastman was a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (Providence, RI), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts in the late 1960s. In recent years she applied her artistry to digital color photography, with special interests in seascapes, landscapes, nature and, closer to home, the family cats.
The Eastmans were together for 29 years and greatly enjoyed the Cape’s natural beauty, placid vistas and relaxed lifestyle.
Nancy Eastman was born February 7, 1941 in Rockville Centre, NY, the daughter of Edward A. and Elizabeth S. Reisman, who also later lived in Huntington, NY and Key Biscayne (Miami, Fla.). She attended public schools in Rockville Centre and in Florida, graduating from Miami High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a song, Craig, of Carlsbad, Ca., (wife: Cindy) and three grandchildren (Shane, Brendan, and Caitlyn); a daughter, Karin Brown, of Cardiff-By-The-Sea, Ca., (husband: Tim), and three grandchildren (Trevor, Tyler and Isabella).
Nancy Eastman was predeceased in 2008 by son Kevin Perry, a silk screen artist of Brewster and Northampton, Ma. Also surviving are brothers Bruce Reisman of Setauket, NY, David Reisman of Huntington, NY, and Edward Reisman Jr. of Camp Springs, Md.
Mrs. Eastman was cremated and a private memorial service is planned. The family suggests that contributions could be made in her memory to the Cure Pancreatic Cancer/Lustgarten Foundation, located at 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714. The foundation is a prime source of information about pancreatic cancer and America’s major cancer centers.
