Pira Frosina Christo

Pira Frosina Christo passed away on 25 August 2021 at age 58 at home, after a grueling six-year battle with breast cancer. The most important thing in Pira’s life was her family who were by her side, along with her beloved rescue fur-babies, in her final days. She is survived by her two daughters, Gabrielle Elizabeth McCully and Alexandra Marika McCully, both of Eastham. She loved her girls above all else and was so proud of them. Pira was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Pira will be remembered as a devoted mother and an avid animal lover with a quick wit and a huge sense of fun who fought cancer with grace and courage all the way. She graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications and earned her Masters Degree at Emerson College in Mass Communications and Media. After Pira moved to Cape Cod to raise her girls, she became a Special Education Instructional Aide & Assistive Technology Specialist at Chatham High School and Cape Cod Regional Technical High School. She loved her job at Tech and especially working with teens to help them build a brighter future.

Pira requested a celebration of life be held as opposed to traditional funeral services. We invite all of Pira’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her life at Cook’s Brook Beach in Eastham at a future date to be determined.
