William Brewster Walker passed away on January 30, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Brewster was born on May 7, 1956 to William Long Walker and Elizabeth Roy Walker in Mount Kisco, New York. He attended school in Yorktown Heights, New York before moving with his parents to Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth High School in 1975 and went on to a career as a painter and carpenter. Brewster graduated from Cape Cod Community College, where he discovered his love of writing and went on to study at the University of Massachusetts.
Brewster loved living on Cape Cod, after spending his summers as a child at Brewster Park, where he made many lifelong friends.
Brewster had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. We fondly remember his Toyota truck, which he drove for many years, with a tailgate that said simply "YO".
He leaves behind his sister Elizabeth Shorr and her husband William Shorr of Melbourne, Florida and their children, his dear and lifelong friends, Jamie Frisby of Hyannis, Elaine McCarthy of Watertown, his friends and supporters at AA, many Oliver and Walker cousins, and his beloved dog Clyde.
A memorial service will be held in the late Spring of 2015.
