

home on May 16th, 2016, with her family at her bedside. Adrienne was born
on September 15th, 1935, in Huntington, WV. She was the youngest child of
the late William and Adena Simms Ives. After graduating Marshall High
School, she attended DePauw University, where she studied music. She was a
member of Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Delta Pi. She later transferred to Marshall
University. During her junior year, she met Con Brady Curry Jr.; marrying in
1956. The couple moved to Dayton, Ohio, in 1957, where their three children
were born.
After the death of her husband in 1968, the family relocated to Ormond
Beach, FL. She began working for United Child Care in 1978, and in 1985
she went to work for Dick Stark Carpets. She celebrated her 30th year with
the company in 2015, retiring due to illness in 2016.
Activities she enjoyed over the years included bridge, tennis,
gardening, the piano, and many years of volunteer service at OB Presbyterian
Church, OB Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and various schools. She was an
avid reader, accumulating a substantial library at home.
Adrienne was predeceased by her husband Con, sisters Laura
Creamarosa, and Mary Anne York. Survivors include daughters Leslie Waller,
Orlando, Elizabeth Curry, Ormond Beach; son Brad Curry, Gainesville, and
grandson Zachary Waller, Orlando. She is also survived by her brother and
sister-in-law, Bill and Durian Ives of Plano, TX, several nieces and nephews,
and her longtime work family at Stark Carpet One.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the nurses and
aides at Coquina Rehab, and also to the staff of Halifax Health Hospice. A
special thanks also to David Stark and Wendy Hahn for their compassion and
kindness.
A private family service will be held and the family requests that in lieu
of flowers, a donation be made to Halifax Health Hospice.
