

Alfred P Bryll passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 in Palm Coast at the age of 93. Born in Windsor, CT, Alfred moved to Palm Coast with his wife, Josephine, who preceded him in death, of 65 years. He lived in Palm Coast for the past 30 years.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Alfred defined his life mostly by his service in the U S Army during WWII. He served on the front line in Company G 71st infantry regiment 44th Division 7th Army. He held honor guard to pass in view in Hitler Stadium to honor the death of then President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Alfred was one of the last WWII veterans to accompany Volusia County Honor Air to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington DC.
An industrial engineer by trade, Alfred worked for Veeder Root Company in Hartford, CT for 36 years.
He is survived by his children Karen (Mark) Tellier, Phoenix, AZ, David (Sheila) Bryll, East Hartland, CT, and Marcia Matway of Rocky Hill, CT, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
His services will be Thursday, June 13 at 2PM in the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Chapel 548 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday June 13 at the funeral home. Interment will follow service at the Volusia Memorial Park 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach.
