Alton L Zipperer Jr., age 89, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Preceded in death by parents, Alton & Annie Zipperer Sr; son, Todd Zipperer. Survived by wife Vivian Bennett Zipperer; son, Scott Zipperer; daughter Gina Strasser; grandchildren, Shannon Hudgens, Lindsey Smith, Faith Wilson, Destiny Strasser; 9 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
In the 60's, Al moved to the Ormond Beach area working for Sandoz Pharmaceutical Company. Alton owned and operated Southern Molasses and was also the owner of Bull Run Farm Supply.
Al loved to go fishing, hunting, and boating. Al loved his Florida Gators. And loved to play golf. Alton was a friend to all, and he will truly be missed.
A gathering of family and friends for Alton will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Moose Lodge of Ormond Beach, Florida, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:30 PM.
Alton will be laid to rest in Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Al's memory may be made to Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, Florida; or Salty Church, 221 Vining Court, Ormond Beach, Florida.
