Barbara J. Burrows- Holt

Barbara J. Burrows-Holt 85, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Burrows was born August 15, 1927 to parents Glen and Maude (Scanlan) Packer in Battle Creek, MI. Barbara married Oscar Burrows in Michigan and came to Ormond Beach in 1963, she is preceded in death by Oscar to whom she was married 44 years. Barbara then married James Holt to which she was married 7 years until his passing in 2004. Mrs. Burrows enjoyed her family, being near the ocean and shopping. Reading and traveling were also among some of her favorite activities. Barbara will be missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her sons Roger Burrows and wife Judy of Michigan; Oscar “Jay” Burrows of Ormond Beach, daughter Marsha Meeks and husband James also of Ormond Beach; grandchildren Sherry (Greg), James (Jessica), David, Kimberly (Ed), Brandi, Krystal (John), Robbie (Lisa), Roger(Nikki), Todd (Amanda); 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Barbara is preceded in death by her son Glen “Pokey” Burrows; 2 brothers Duane and William Packer and sister; Glenna Bozarth. A Funeral service will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 6:00PM in the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
