Carol "Penny" E. Harrington

Thank you for your love and concern for Ms. Carol E. Harrington, better known as "Penny", who passed on April 26, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on October 29, 1942, in Bethpage, N.Y., and resided in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Penny graduated from Baldwin High School. Her steady work ethic and straightforward honesty shaped the way she moved through the world—reliable in her commitments, sincere in her words, and consistent in the care she showed to others.

In her working life, Penny was employed at the restaurant at the Longboat Key Resort. Those who knew her understood that she brought not only diligence to her responsibilities, but also a genuine warmth—an unassuming kindness and compassion that made her presence meaningful to the people around her.

Penny was divorced. Through life’s changes, she remained deeply loyal in her relationships and steadfast in the ways she offered support, earning a place in many hearts as someone truly beloved.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy and Dawn, and her son Bill. Also, granddaughter Jena, grandsons David and Billy, and great-granddaughter Berkley, as well as son-in-law Michael, and daughter-in-law Laura.

Penny found joy in the companionship of cats and held a lasting passion for dancing—interests that reflected her gentle spirit and the quiet brightness she carried into everyday life.

She will be remembered with respect and affection, and her absence will be felt by all who were fortunate to know her.
