Claire (Hansen) Olsen was born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 27, 1929, and moved to Palm Coast, FL, in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Anton P. Olsen, and also her parents, Carsten and Margaret (Spielberg) Hansen. Claire is survived by her son, Roy (JoAnn) Olsen, Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter Lauren (Josh) Siefer, Studio City, CA; grandson Eric Olsen, Palm Coast, FL, great-grandsons Noah Jones and Jack Siefer, and great-granddaughter Samantha Siefer. Also cousins and friends in the United States and relatives and friends in Norway.
Claire was an Executive Secretary at Bankers Trust Company, New York, NY, until she retired and moved to Palm Coast, FL in 1986. Claire enjoyed reading, knitting, arts and crafts, swimming and traveling. She was a member of the Son of Norway, Faerder Lodge 109 in Brooklyn, NY, the Norseman Lodge in Norway, and was a longtime member of St. Mark by the Sea Lutheran Church since 1986. Claire will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew her.
