Cyrus Victor Samaan

C. Victor Samaan, 75 yrs. old, of Ormond Beach, FL. passed away on Sept. 9th, 2015 at Halifax Hospice of Ormond Beach after a long illness. Mr. Samaan was self-employed as a Distributor of Hobby Ceramics and Craft Supplies for many years and later worked in real estate and retail sales at Beall’s Department Store until his retirement in 2003. He was a member and Chairman of the Planning Board and several other committees for the City of Holly Hill in the 1970s. He was a former member of the Holly Hill Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Victor was born in Tehran, Iran and lived in France until coming to Daytona Beach when he was 11 yrs. old. He graduated from Seabreeze High School and attended St. Louis University. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Victor was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Cecile Samaan. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 yrs. Suzanne, his daughter Aimee Hager (Earl), and his granddaughter Kyra Smith. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Pierre Samaan (Linda) and several nephews and nieces and grandnephews and nieces., his sister in law Nancy Durham and brother-in-law Donald Smith. The family wishes to thank Dr. James McDonnell, Dr. Greg Favis and Dr. V. Purandare, the staff at the Regional Oncology Center, Davita Dialysis of Ormond Beach and Halifax Health Hospice Care Center of Ormond Beach for their excellent care.
