Jim Gallo was a very special man.
There are so many times during the year that Jim comes to mind.  It can be a funny expression or saying, it can be of a shared memory or something that he taught me.  We had some wonderful times filled with laughter and others where his intensity and passion was the lesson for the day.  After his retirement we stayed in touch and we talked about travel, books he was reading, or family.  He never failed to ask about my family and it was always personal and heartfelt.  He was my vendor, advocate, boss, friend, coworker, mentor, and someone most of all that I admired.  He knew computer distribution and how the system worked.  I will be forever grateful for the time I was able to spend with him.  It was a privilege to be a friend of Jim.  On behalf of all who knew Jim, our thanks to Denise for sharing him with so many people all over the country.  He is missed.

I had the pleasure of working for and with Jim for 10+ years at Pioneer-Standard/Agilysys and have countless fond and funny memories of him as a boss and colleague.  Everything from him making me laugh during the interview while convincing me to work for him versus another group to the “You Wanna Guarantee? – I got your guarantee right here!” campaign to the infamous 9/11/2001 car ride (with Lauren Clemmer) from LA to Cleveland – and then for him all the way back to Toms River, NJ where he said, “You know how many miles it is from coast to coast? Well I do- because I measured it myself!” And yes, there was the “buckeye” delay where he went squealing out of the parking lot in Lincoln, Nebraska. Or the time he referenced countless movies during a meeting and I didn’t know ANY of them and he asked me, “What DO you do?” These are just a few of the memories I have of Jim… all personal because that was Jim.  He was a fun, personable guy, leaving his mark on everyone he knew.  He also knew his business inside and out.  He was a pitbull when it came to getting his way and that was a good thing for the companies he worked for.  He knew how to get things done.  And I know through many conversations, how important his wife, Denise, and family were to him!  No doubt, Jim will be remembered fondly by all who were lucky enough to know him. God’s blessings to Jim’s family.  

I am sad to hear the passing of a man who caught me the reseller business. He was always helpful when I asked about how to get things done...and wasn't afraid to give you the "Jim Gallo opinion" .  My condolences to his family and friends. God Bless and may you rest in peace.

I knew Jim when we worked together at Pioneer/Agillysys.  I always considered him a friend and trusted advisor.   Jim was always honest and  got right to the point.   A guy from Jersey that everybody loved.  Jim will be missed.

I knew Jim from Digital and worked with him at Pioneer.  He was a wonderful person to work with, a hard worker, and loyal employee.  He had a sense of humor second to none and the one thing I remenber to this day is "OOOFFAAA" RIP Jim

I worked with Jim for many years at Pioneer/Agilysys/OnX.  He was my friend and I will miss him.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made the people around him laugh.  He was a hard worker and helped the people around him when he saw an opportunity to.  Jim had quotes he would always use; what I call "Galloisms" and I will use "Galloisms" for as long as I am around.  It will remind me of him and make me smile.  

So many stories and fond memories of this good man...

Jim was a colleague and boss at Pioneer/Agilysys.  I have fond memories of him and how he could make me laugh.  As Gayle Pekkola and I traveled from LA with him after 9/11 on this crazy road trip to get home he lost it with us when we stopped on our way out of Cracker Barrel to buy some buckeye candy,  It remained a joke among the three of us.  You left us too soon and will be missed.  My condolences to the family.  You will be in my prayers.

I worked with Jim at Agilysys/Pioneer, both when Jim was at Digital and when he joined Agilysys. He was irreverent, funny, passionate and intelligent.  I enjoyed working with him and I appreciated his friendship. The world is diminished by his passing. My condolences to his family and friends. God Bless
