

Jeanette Louise Redmond of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021, with family at her side at the Halifax Hospice Care Center in Edgewater after living many years with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born November 13, 1938, in Daytona Beach at Halifax Hospital to Joseph A. and Elizabeth V. Cone. She and her brother Frank P. Cone grew up on Madison Avenue in Daytona. She took dance and piano lessons as a child and attended St. Paul’s where she graduated high school in 1957.
She married Ernest R. Chausse on July 4, 1958, with whom she had four children she devoted her life to raising. She was employed at Burn-up & Sims for many years and also worked as a cashier at J.M. Fields, Woolco, Zayre’s and later in life Beall’s.
Later, she divorced and remarried Joseph Redmond and moved to Rockledge, Florida, in 1989 starting a new chapter of her life with all of her children now raised. She lived in Rockledge until shortly after Joseph’s passing when she returned to the Daytona area to live with her youngest daughter Sharon.
Jeanette lived life to the fullest and made many friends along the way. Her best friends she met as kids at St. Paul’s who were her truest friends to the end. Jeanette always enjoyed gatherings whether big or small with friends and family. She loved laughter, music and dancing even into her last days. She brought life to every party and will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind her children: Joseph Chausse and his wife Corinne, Susan Tunnell and her husband Milton, Sherri McAdams and her husband Micheal, and Sharon Chausse and her husband Bill Payne, as well as six grandchildren: Kacey and Kyle Tunnell, Garrett McAdams, Zoe, Maggie, and Alana Chausse.
Donations in her name would be appreciated to the Volusia County Council on Aging as well as the Alzheimer’s Association.
Celebration of Life Service Saturday October 16, 2021, 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to service at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, Florida.
