Leslie Alexander Russell, age 44, went home to be with our Lord on November 20, 2018. She passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Leslie was born and raised in Daytona Beach and was a graduate of Mainland High School. Leslie's parents are James (Predeceased) and Deloras Alexander. She is also survived by her husband John "Wes" Russell, son James Neill Russell and step-son Donald Maxwell Russel, sisters Shelly Leininger and Laurie Alexander, brother in law Gordon Leininger, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who affectionately referred to her as "Sessie.” Leslie’s greatest joy was being James’ mother, and she was extremely proud of her large family and being around them brought her such peace and joy. She will always be lovingly remembered by her beautiful smile, strong will and her child-like playful spirit. A part of Leslie will remain with everyone who knew her. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Park, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.
