Affectionately known as Mimi, she was born on December 30,1946, in Daytona Beach, FL, to the late Joe and Edna McGrath. Mimi was a lifelong lover of cats and shared her home with many feline companions over the years, with each one holding a very special place in her heart. As a devoted University of Florida Gators football fan, she rarely missed watching a game, always cheering on the Orange & Blue through thick and thin. Mimi enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb that brought life to every space she touched, filling her home with plants that thrived under her care, both inside and out.
She had a beautiful, easy smile, and an infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is gone, her warmth, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those that had the opportunity to be touched by her.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Owen Whitt, son Greg Degler and niece Chris Jarrell.
