Former Crescent City resident Ray Adam Ash 79, died November 12, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Ash was born May 17, 1934, in Oak Hill, Florida to Iris Bliss and Mary Iva L. Ash
Mr. Ash served in the United States Army 508th Paratroopers in 1954 and retired from Halifax Hospital Daytona Beach as a painter.
Mr. Ash was committed to and loved his family, loved nature and his pets. He is preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Sharon, and daughter Tami Jo Mason.
He is survived by his children Tina Nolen (Holly Hill),Shara Ash (Ormond Beach), Bruce Ash (Southport) and RayAnn Harper (Pierson). He had nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A brother Ron Ash (Lakeland) and a sister Kathryn Bray (Ormond Beach)
A heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers from Haven Hospice in Palatka Florida and to Jack Salmans of Ormond Beach for their loving care.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Ray on Friday, November 22 at 6:00 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach.
