Richard Merrill McDaniel

Richard Merrill McDaniel, 61, of Ormond Beach, passed away on June 3, 2012 at his residence. Richard was born on March 2, 1951 in Daytona Beach to the late Merrill Mose and Elizabeth (Johnson) McDaniel. Richard was a 1969 graduate of Seabreeze High School. He worked as an A/C Technician for the Volusia County School Board, and he previously did landscaping and irrigation work. Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3800 and he enjoyed music. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Stockhammer. Additional survivors include his 2 sisters, Karen Zeuch (Edward), and Kim McDaniel; his step-sister, Wendy Walker (Greg); his 2 step-brothers, Steve Seibert (Marlene), and Gary Seibert (Beverly); his half-brother, David Breed (Lynn); and his granddaughter, Alexis Stockhammer. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Randy McDaniel. A Celebration of Life in memory of Richard will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3800, 195 S. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
