Rosalie Margaret (Reilly) Hope peacefully returned to her Lord on June 21, 2011 in her home surrounded by family. Rosalie was born December 21, 1932 in Lindhurst, New Jersey and later grew up in and around Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She was the youngest of 4 children born to Leo and Rosalie Reilly. Rosalie was the beloved wife of Benjamin L. Hope, Jr. for 56 wonderful years.
Rosalie will forever be remembered by her devoted children, Anne (Kevin), Pat (Paul), Steve, Mary (Walter), Ben (Deidre), Paul (Lynda), sixteen cherished grandchildren, her brother Bill (Mickey), as well as countless other family and friends who were blessed to know her.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Rosalie, brother Leo, and sister Isabelle. Rosalie was filled with laughter and love being with her family and friends. She touched the lives of many people with her smile, sparkling blue eyes, and faith. Throughout her life she loved her Lord so dearly and ministered to others in countless ways. To have known Rosalie is to have experienced God's presence and love. She led by example, never asking anything for herself. After more than thirty years living in Long Island, New York and ministering at Maria Regina parish, she and Ben moved to Florida five years ago and worked for Saint Brendan's Church. She will be eternally loved and missed by all.
