Dear Wendy, Fred and families;
I just heard of your Mom's passing yesterday from Gerry Brooks and although late, I had to send you my sincere sympathies. Indeed, your Mom had an amazingly positive outlook on life and seemed to relish in any social event (especially football games involving the Hamilton Ticats as I recall). I still remember her laughter and how welcoming she was to me when we were playing after school in your basement. Both your parents were very kind to me and I shall always remember your Dad's dry sense of humour. I'm sorry for their passing and that another milestone in life has passed. My parents are still struggling in their own home but just barely. Our Mom has Alzheimer's so very sad and frustrating for all. They are on the waiting list for Taunton Mills as well. I know you have so many wonderful memories to get you through this sad time. I wish you all the best. Love, Yvonne

Wendy and Freddy,
You were fortunate to have had a mother as wonderful as Barb. Her giggles and energy permeated the entire room where she was. When she teamed up with Audrey, you never knew what was going to happen next. My mother (Auntie Em) and dad (Uncle Harry) loved having her visit. The amount of laughter caused as she attempted to learn bridge or to decorate cakes is just one of the memories I will treasure. My dad loved the picture of your mom in the cowgirl attire for one of the Dofasco Christmas party segments.
She was, and will always remain, one of my favourite cousins.

Fred

Sorry to hear the news. When I think of the old times now, she and your Dad were both pretty darn tolerant of a lot of our shenanigans. That made your basement a great place to hang out- for us, not so much for them.

And the Barb-O-Mart was always well stocked with whatever victuals were needed on short notice for weekend trips. Never a peep from her about missing steaks. We'll all miss her.

My deepest condolences to you, Barb's family. May your happy memories of precious times spent with your Mother/Grandmother, sustain you through this painful period.
I know that I am not alone , with my many memories of your Mothers great sense of humour and good nature during the time she worked at the City of Oshawa. There are many others that she worked with, whose lives she touched positively in the workplace.
My Sincere sympathies, and may God Bless and sustain you with his love through this period...Chic Blair (Grey)

My deepest sympathy Wendy, Fred and families on the loss of your dear mom.
I have many fond memories of Barb, and working with her and being a friend with her as well meant a lot to me. We always had some laughs, shared many family memories and I will always keep those memories with me.
Barb was a wonderful mom, grandmother and friend to so many.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
In sympathy,
Joy Graham
