Born on January 23rd 1952 in Waśilkow Poland, Celina was the beloved daughter of Monika Bylinska and Julian Czemiel. She was 5th and youngest of her siblings Waldemar, Marina, Dominika, and Stanislawa. She was a caring wife to Pierre and a loving mother to her two sons Julian and Jean-Paul. She was known for being welcoming to everyone she met and always made friends wherever she went.
Celina is lovingly remembered by her husband Pierre, sons Julian and Jean-Paul, daughters-in-law Beata and Jane, and her cherished grand daughter Lilianna. Celina created meaningful memories with her family, friends and community across her life. An enthusiastic walker, she would greet passersby with a kind greeting and smile.
Throughout her life, Celina enjoyed gardening, painting, travelling, bringing people together, picking mushrooms, baking and french wine. She was committed to God and relied on her faith to guide her throughout life. She supported her church and joined choirs. Her warm and welcoming heart touched everyone who had the fortune of meeting her. In her later years, she resisted Multiple Systems Atrophy to the end.
She was preceded in death by her sister Marina and her brother in law Ernst Wirth.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 24th, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Oshawa Funeral Home, located at 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario, L1J 2L4.
A Church Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25th, at Saint Hedwig’s Polish Cathedral, located at 411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa, Ontario, L1H 2P9.
Following the Mass, burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, located at 355 Taunton Road East, Whitby, Ontario, L1R 3L4.
Celina leaves behind a strong legacy of love, of how to live well, of many tender and delightful memories. Her mortal absence is keenly felt. She is deeply missed and cherished.
