On behalf of Cindy's many friends at the Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres Northview Branch Day Program where Cindy volunteered every Wednesday for many years we want to send our deepest sympathy to your family.  Cindy had a gift of working with people, especially those with special needs or those needing a bit of extra assistance.  Her friends in our day program miss her cheerful smile, positive outlook on life, and generous spirit.  She treated everyone equally. Dear Dean,Andrew and Carol and all the family . I often think that God puts people like Cindy here on earth  as an angel from above for a reason,a season or a lifetime. She showed us strength,love,compassion,kindness, and so many other wonderful attributes and I am sure he was very proud of his angel and there is a special place for her in heaven.

We have many happy memories of getting together with our Oshawa cousins at Gram and Gramp's house in Gananoque. Cindy always seemed to have an impish grin and a sparkle in her eyes. She seemed quiet but she was usually the one to come up with some idea for an adventure.Although we did not get together as often as adults we were touched by her courage and dignity in the face of adversity. We were saddened to hear of her passing and wish to express our deepest sympathy to all the family. It is comforting to know that she was always surrounded by the love of those closest to her. I can never imagine the pain of losing a loved one and I wish with all my heart that I had the proper words to relieve your suffering. Please accept my sincere condolences in this moment of pain and sorrow. Although I never met Cindy, I feel close to her from the beautiful things I heard from her sister. I am certain that she would have been a great friend. May god take her in his arms and fill her with everlasting peace and joy that she so much deserves. I pray to god to give you the strength and consolation through this painful moment.

Cindy you will be remembered always by your friends.  You met your challenges with grace, humor and courage.  The love and dedication of your family is a reflection of the love you shared as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister an auntie. So many roles and you filled them all with genuine devotion. To Dean, Andrew and the family we truly feel your loss. We will miss her.

     It is with heavy heart that I write this passage. My words or sentiments cannot express the anguish and pain you feel.Your family has been subjected to yet another tragedy. To Dean,Andrew, aunt Carol and all my Oshawa cousins: I am very sorry and saddened by the loss of Cindy. Though I didnt see her often growing up, she was always at family functions, always made an effort to come and talk to me, met my train a few times on my visits to Oshawa, and always made an effort to visit at Carols when she knew we would be there.She made you instantly comfortable and you could always pick up right where you left off. A couple of years ago we were both visiting Brockville and I had the pleasure of spending some time with Cindy alone and getting to know her as an adult (she helped me through a flat tire incident)and it was then that I realized how strong and brave she was. Through all of her struggles with her illness, she never complained, and found humour in everything. Also, she was a very proud and devoted wife and mother, talking constantly about Andrew and Dean. I know you will miss her profoundly, but know that you all made her happy and surrounded her with love and support. I will miss Cindy but will remember most her spirit, the twinkle in her eye, and her laughter. May God be with you all at this difficult time. We are all thinking of you.
