Passed away peacefully on Sunday May 3, 2026, at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of David, married 58 years. Loving mother of Alan (Denise) and Keith (Julie). Cherished Nan of Alex, Talia and David. Predeceased by her sisters Verna and Helen. Will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Doreen loved jazz music, dancing, and the simple joy of being surrounded by family and friends. She cherished her clothing stores in Oshawa and Whitby that she owned and operated for many years. She carried a warm spark within her—an energy that drew people in and made them feel seen, appreciated, and loved.
Arrangements entrusted to the Oshawa Funeral Home 847 King Street, West. Cremation will take place. A private family service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be placed at the Lakeridge Health Foundation where she volunteered.
