April 7, 1945 – September 24, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elisa Angela Pellegrino, a beloved wife, sister, mother, Nonna, Zia, and friend whose warmth touched so many lives.
Born to Pasquale and Maria Pelosi in Gallo-Matesse, Campania, Italy, on April 7, 1945, Elisa left her humble beginnings and immigrated to Canada in search of opportunity. With courage, grace, and hard work, she built a life filled with love and surrounded by family.
Elisa was the beloved wife of Salvatore Pellegrino and devoted mother to Robert (formerly married to Melanie) and Mark (Sophia). She was a cherished sister to Pasquarela, Domenica, Rosa, Madalena, and Tony. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Chloe, Samuel, Liliana, Ema, Violeta, and Christina. She treasured her many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and loved nothing more than seeing generations of her extended family gathered together.
Elisa was known for her stylish elegance, thoughtfulness, intelligence, generosity, and wonderful sense of humour. She loved dancing, fashion, baking, her community, and, above all, her family and friends. She had a special gift for making others feel supported, valued, and loved. To many, she was not simply a Zia or friend, but a source of comfort, guidance, laughter, and strength.
Her legacy is one of love—a life that brought light to others and left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Special thank you to the caring and supportive Perry neighbourhood staff at The Village of Taunton Mills.
