Eva was the heart and soul of her family — a woman whose love, strength, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She was the absolute best wife, mom, grandma, and friend, always putting others before herself and giving endlessly without ever expecting anything in return. Her kindness, warmth, and selflessness defined her life and created a legacy of love that will live on through all who knew her.
Her love wasn’t something she just said — it was something she lived every single day. She showed up. She listened. She helped. She comforted. She celebrated. She made each of us feel like we were the most important person in the world.
She faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage, including a battle with cancer that she fought and overcame with incredible strength and determination. Even in the hardest moments, she remained focused on what mattered most to her — her family. They were her world, and she loved them more than anything.
Eva will be remembered for her silly sense of humor, her stubborn spirit, and her ability to make those around her smile. She brought laughter into everyday moments and created memories that her family will cherish forever. As a wife, she was devoted and loving. As a mom she was simply everything you could ask for. As a grandmother, she adored her grandchildren and found immense joy in spending time with them. As a friend, she was loyal, supportive, and always there when needed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Colby; her children, Dan, Kristen (Adam), and Julie (Tim); her cherished grandchildren, Jayden, Olivia, and Maverick; her fur grandchildren Cato, Roxy, and Jarvis. She was a beloved daughter of the late Frank Kaszas and Maria Tarnai, a wonderful daughter in law to Donald Colby, and a dear friend who will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your loving wishes and support for the days ahead.
Eva’s love, strength, and kindness will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a family forever grateful to have been loved by her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
