What a wonderful friend we have had for over 50 years. When we came to Oshawa, Francine and her family lived across the street; how often we shared tea and some of her completely home-made carrot cake. There were house parties--everyone chipped in with food and we danced and we laughed....We shared our birthdays every year, shopping trips, coffee breaks, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve Dances. In the past months as she fought so bravely, she always managed to make me feel special, and she was always glad to see me.
I watched her raise 3 strong boys to become 3 strong men, and she loved her family, especially all those grandchildren. I will miss her SO much, but I know 'we will meet again.'
So many happy memories, so much love!

I happened upon your Mom's obituary on-line here, & a whole flood of good memories poured back into my mind, from our connections working together at General Motors, years ago...
What a strange thing it is, that something as horrific as the loss of a beloved family member could trigger otherwise fond remembrances of days of yore like that...but, strangely enough, that is what oft-times happens.
I grieve with you & your family at this time, & can only hope that her unfortunate departure will only rekindle nice memories of how your mother touched each & every one of your lives, as well...please, take care, & know that others share your grief.
