George Ronald Moss

(1931 – 2016)

It is with sadness that the family of George Ronald announce his passing on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Predeceased by his parents George Edwin and Mabel; and his wife Beverley. He leaves behind his children Jim (Joanne); Gary (Cheryl); Susan (Rick) and Stephen (Heather). Step-dad to Jennifer (Kevin) and Lorie-Rose (Wayne). He will be missed by his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his sister Gloria (Barry); nephews Todd (Regina), Jeff (Elena) and great-niece Alyssa. George cherished his longtime friendship with Jim and Agnes Boyd and their family. George was a proud Korean War Veteran having served for three years overseas. He was a Postal Worker in Oshawa for 29 ½ years and a member of Legion Branch 43 serving as President and Past President. Over the years George enjoyed playing softball, curling, lawn bowling, darts, fishing and especially golf. He was very proud of his Hole-in-One. His family would like to thank Veteran Affairs, C.C.A.C and homeworkers for their help and special thanks to his daughter Susan for her unwavering assistance to her Dad. A Graveside Service will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY (1200 Thornton Rd. N., Oshawa) on Thursday, January 5th at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). Memorial donations in George’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
