Gilbert "Scotty" Joseph MacLellan

Passed away at home Thursday, November 17th, 2016 in the care of his wife after a two year battle with C.O.P.D. Scotty was the much loved husband of Barbara and the loving father of his daughter Linda (Tim), his sons Paul (Debbie) and Kevin (Silvana). He was predeceased by his son Donald, his brother Joseph MacLellan, and his parents Donald and Flora MacLellan. He leaves behind eight grandchildren Jennifer, Dawn, Kevin, Michael, Jacob, Caleb, Bryan and Michelle, eight great-grandchildren and many cousins in Scotland. Scotty was well known for his active participation in A.A. and he helped many people on their road to recovery. He was also a very avid golfer and enjoyed many years of playing with friends, his sons and his #1 golfing partner, his wife Barb. He will be missed by all who knew him. Special thank you to the Registered Nurses and PSW’s who provided excellent care. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, November 24th from 6 – 9 p.m. and Friday, November 25 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Toronto Western Hospital – Spinal Cord Clinic would be appreciated.
